ELEGEBEJI CHAMPIONS LEGISLATIVE BILLS FOR THE PROGRESS OF REMO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY AND OGUN STATE
HON. DR. PRINCESS ADESOLA AYOOLA-ELEGEBEJI CHAMPIONS LEGISLATIVE BILLS FOR THE PROGRESS OF REMO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY AND OGUN STATE
Earlier today, I demonstrated my commitment to effective and people-focused representation as I presented three major bills on the floor of the House of Representatives, all aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating development across Remo Federal Constituency and Ogun State.
1.Constitutional Alteration for Additional Local Government Areas – HB 2653
I sponsored a bill seeking an amendment to the 1999 Constitution to create additional Local Government Areas in Ogun State, with a specific focus on Remo Federal Constituency.
The proposed LGAs include Orile-Oko, Sagamu West, Sagamu South, Ikenne South among others.
This step is intended to bring governance closer to the people, improve administrative efficiency, and enhance grassroots development.
2 Bill for the Creation of Ijebu-Remo State – HB 2660
I also presented a bill proposing the creation of Ijebu-Remo State from the present Ogun State.
This bill speaks to long-standing demands for balanced representation, fair resource allocation, and improved administrative structure for the Ijebu and Remo people.
3 Establishment of the Federal College of Agriculture, Orile-Oko Remo – HB 2661
I further sponsored an amendment to the Agricultural Research Council Act to establish a Federal College of Agriculture in Orile-Oko Remo, Ogun State.
The institution will serve as a centre for agricultural innovation, youth empowerment, research, and skills development, contributing to food security and economic growth in our region.
All three bills were read for the first time during plenary, marking the start of full legislative action.
I remain committed to promoting progressive policies and delivering tangible development for the people of Remo Federal Constituency and Ogun State.
Signed
Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji
