HON. DR. PRINCESS ADESOLA AYOOLA-ELEGBEJI HOSTS STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATIVE MEETING TOWARDS A UNITED REMO
Sagamu, Ogun State
January 11, 2026
Yesterday, I hosted a successful Stakeholder Consultative Meeting themed Towards a United Remo: Legislative Agenda and Strategic Representation at Nandas Hotel, Sagamu.
The event brought together traditional rulers, community leaders, elders, professionals, and media representatives, all committed to unity and progress. I provided updates on bills sponsored and motions moved since my inauguration, and highlighted constituency project priorities including infrastructure, education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, and wealth creation.
My Technical Adviser on Wealth Creation, Mr Busola Onayemi, presented initiatives aimed at stimulating economic growth and sustainable livelihoods.
I was honoured by the presence of our royal fathers:
- HRH Oba Sikiru Ajibowu Adeilo Adeyiga, Onirolu of Irolu Remo
- HRH Oba Adesegun Bolaji Alowonle, Elemuren of Emuren
- HRH Oba Dr Surv Adetunji Amidu Osho, Alaye Ode of Ode Remo
Stakeholder contributions were insightful and forward-looking, with notable inputs from:
- Mr Wasiu Onawole, Secretary, Iperu Akesan Community Development Association
- Prince Abdul Abayomi, President, Sagamites Club & Member, Remo State Creation Committee
- Chief Engr Tayo Opanubi, High Chief from Ogijo, Sagamu
- Alhaja Olaide Owonifari
- Barr Leke Solarin, Honourable Commissioner, Ogun State Judicial Service Commission
- Otunba Engr Dele Amoda, Isara Remo
A Communique was delivered, the motion adopted by Mr Wasiu Onawole, seconded by Barr Leke Solarin, and a Vote of Confidence passed on my stewardship.
This engagement marks the beginning of a continuous consultative process, with a larger meeting planned soon for broader constituent participation.
