AKESAN DAY 2025: ELEGEBJI CALLS FOR PRAYER, UNITY AND NATIONAL COHESION AMID GROWING SECURITY CONCERNS

Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, Member Representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, extends warm felicitations to the sons and daughters of Iperu-Remo on the celebration of Akesan Day 2025.

In her goodwill message, she reflects on the importance of Akesan Day as a binding force that deepens unity, strengthens identity, and drives sustainable grassroots development. She notes that festivals like Akesan Day remain a powerful reminder of the values that keep communities strong and progressive.

She applauds the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his visionary leadership and the visible impact of his administration in infrastructure, economic expansion, and improved security. She highlights the Gateway International Airport along the Ilishan corridor as a transformational project that will shape the long-term prosperity of Remoland and the entire state.

She also pays heartfelt tribute to the late Alaperu of Iperu-Remo, Oba Adeleke Idowu Basibo, describing his reign as a period of peace, order, and developmental progress. She prays for the peaceful repose of his noble soul.

Speaking on current national realities, the federal lawmaker urges the people of Iperu-Remo, the entire Remo Federal Constituency, Ogun State, and Nigerians at large to remain steadfast in prayer and united in purpose, especially in this period of heightened security concerns. She assures citizens that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is working with determination to strengthen security architecture and restore nationwide stability.
